There are a number of areas where you can help! Please sign up and help support local candidates!

Volunteer to Help!

The Knox County Democrats are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of areas, including:

staffing our headquarters (see below)
candidate support -- door-knocking with candidates, delivering yard signs, etc.
campaign event support -- helping with a committee organizing and carrying out campaign events and fund-raisers
messaging & social media
fund-raising
other -- if you have a skill or particular interest that can help with our campaigns, please let us know.

The time commitment can be as much or as little as you would like, from 2 hours a week on up.

Keep Showing Up!

The weekly protests organized by 50501Galesburg are now in their eighteenth month! These are usually on each Saturday starting at 2pm, but check out the 50501 Galesburg IL Facebook page to confirm dates and times for the weekly protests.

Volunteer to staff the Headquarters

Starting Monday, July 5, the new Knox County Democrats headquarters, at 228 E. Main St., Galesburg (the old Benjamin Moore paint store), will be open for business. Hours for the next few weeks will be: 11 am - 1 pm, Monday to Friday, and 10 am - 4 pm on Saturdays. We are looking for dedicated Knox County Democrats to help staff the headquarters. We're asking people to take 2-hour shifts. To volunteer and/or for more information, you can drop by the HQ next week or contact David Amor at davidamor1054@gmail.com or 309-335-7857.

Attend an Event!

NAACP Galesburg Branch cookout: Saturday, August 8. The Democrats will have a booth. All candidates should plan to attend.
Kermit Thomas Meet & Greet: Thursday, August 20, here at the headquarters. Kermit is running to replace Republican Dan Swanson as our state representative.
Labor Day Parade: Monday, Sept. 7. 10 am. Corner of Main & Chambers. More details to come.
Ice Cream Social: Thursday, Sept. 17, 5-7 pm, at Lincoln Park . More details to come.

Canvassing for Candidates

Democratic candidates will be out knocking on doors every weekend until Election Day. Knox County is fortunate to have two campaign field directors working out of our campaign headquarters.
